Thank you to the Friends Volunteers
On behalf of the Friends of the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury I would like to thank all of the wonderful volunteers who helped in many ways to make the Friends Fall Mammoth Book Sale for the Library an amazing success. The one week sale made $2,324.95. This Friends’ donation will not only help with the Library’s operating expenses, but in early 2012 the Friends plan to present free programming at the Library for patrons on topics of interest. Congratulations to everyone for their hard work and thank you for all your generous book donations.
In addition to the ongoing daily book sale the Friends of the Library plan to repeat the success of last year and once again offer a “Special Holiday Book Sale” beginning Friday, November 25 that will run throughout the month of December. As a special event the Friends will be having a bake sale in the lobby of the Library on Saturday, November 26. Not only can you buy wonderful books for gifts but you will also be able to purchase delicious homemade sweets. We hope that with everyone’s continued help and energy our sales will continue to raise much needed funds for the Library. Lady Haight-Ashton, President Friends of the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury
