|Congratulations to all of our teachers, parents and students! You made it through what has to be the strangest school year in history! We at the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury are also very excited, as Governor Wolf is moving our county to the Yellow Phase of reopening, just in time for summer reading. Here are a couple of things we’d like you to know:|
We want you to feel safe. All items returned or delivered to the library will be quarantined for 72 hours before making them available to the public. The health of our staff will be monitored daily and the building will be wiped down with cleaning solution every hour. Contact-less curbside delivery will be available when we resume operations on June 15. Please visit our website to learn what you can expect at the library during this time.
We want you to use our services. Beginning June 15, you can place holds and pick them up at our library via contactless curbside delivery to your car. Our e-library is also always open and offers over 500,000 books and audiobooks for everyone in the family. Plus our free data-bases, such as Brainfuse, BookFlix and Lynda.com are just a click away with your library card. If you don’t have one, you can sign up online for an e-card and start using it right away.
We want you to KEEP READING. What better way to make reading a fun challenge for the entire family than by signing up for our Summer Reading Program? Starting this year, you will be able to log the number of minutes you read in our new online platform called Beanstack. You’ll be able to earn badges, qualify for prizes and take part in any of our virtual programming. Register online on June 20 and get started reading!
We want to see you again! We are hoping (fingers crossed) to be able to welcome you back into our building in early July. Please know that the number of people permitted in our building and the time they spend will be limited. In accordance with the state guidelines, we will be requiring patrons to wear masks and follow social distancing.
