Dive into a sea of great books this summer! Visit the library and win prizes! Be a part of the 2022 Summer Reading Program. Here’s how:
- Readers of all ages can visit our page on Beanstack
- Readers from the NHSD Upper and Lower Elementary can also use reading logs provided by the NHSD to log in their minutes. The library will have some on hand if you need one.
- Log in the number of minutes you read. Be sure to come in and collect a small prize when you visit.
- Attend any or all of our special programs listed below.
- At the end of the summer three lucky readers will be selected from each age group (preschool, school age, teen and adult) to win gift cards and possibly a Kindle Fire.

Registration for all events opens June 4. All programs are in-person unless otherwise noted.
Tuesdays June 21-August 2 At-the-Library Story Time at 10:30am. Join Miss Patricia and Miss Marge for stories, crafts, activities, and songs. This program is for preschool children and their caregivers. Please register.
Celebrity Reader Series from 3:30-4:30pm. Special guest readers from the New Hope-Solebury School District will share some of their favorite stories. Ice cream to follow! For children grades K-5. Please register by clicking on the name of the celebrity.
June 23 at 11am Lolly Hopwood Special Interactive Music and Movement Show. For Preschoolers-2nd grade. Register.
Friday Morning Movies from 10:30am-12:30pm
June 25 at 10:30am Read-to-the-Dog, Beamer! Drop on in and practice your reading skills on Beamer, a loveable therapy dog.
June 30 at 10:30am Mad Science of NJ: Spin, Pop, Zoom! Spectacular chemistry experiments spark children’s curiosity and highlight the very best of what Mad Science has to offer. This program will include the following: Color-changing water; the Famous, Flaming Didgeridoo; the Fantastic Flying Foam Factory; and the awesome “Swoosh, Whoosh, Ahhhh” experiments. SUMMER QUEST: PIRATE SCAVENGER HUNT! Drop-in Program, during Library regular hours, from Saturday, July 16th through Saturday, July 30th.
July 22 at 10:30am Voyaging Vikings. The American Swedish Museum brings the Viking Age to the New Hope-Solebury Library! We’ll examine reproduction Viking artifacts and learn about Longships, mythology, and trade. Create your own Viking Rune stone and learn how to play Viking chess. Best for Grades K-6. July 29 at 10:30am Eyes of the Wild. Amazing animals will be visiting our library in the fun, interactive presentation. For grades K-6. Please register.
August 3 at 4pm Percy Jackson and the Olympian Series Kahoot! Quiz time for tweens and teens. Please register.
August 5 at 6:30pm Grand SRP Finale: Dive Into Books: The Magic of Brian Richards. One of our favorite prestidigitators helps us wrap us summer with a reading-focused magic show that all ages will enjoy. Please register.
