It’s true! And it’s free to use.
Yes, really! We are thrilled to welcome the Library’s newest addition – a Bambu P2S with an Automatic Material System (AMS) Combo.
So, how do I use this thing?
We are thrilled so many library patrons (especially our younger visitors) are excited to get printing! Here are a few ways to get started:
- Option 1: You already know what you want to print
Great! Email the .stl file OR a link to the model you want printed to alertnh@buckslib.org with “3D Print Request” in the subject line. We will let you know when it’s ready for pick up! - Option 2: You want to print, but don’t know what
No problem! Select a model from the Library’s “Starter Prints” collection on MakerWorld and either email or tell Library Staff at the circulation desk. Then we will let you know when it’s ready for pick up! - Option 3: You want to explore the wide world of 3D prints available online before deciding what to print
There are a number of popular 3D printing websites like MakerWorld, Thingiverse, Printables, Cults3D among others. All of these websites will have 3D models ready for printing, often for free but sometimes available for purchase. Remember: Much like using Wikipedia or other open source, community websites, content and quality vary widely. Use discretion when browsing!

- How much does it cost to print something? Using the 3D printer is a free service for Library patrons. It costs you nothing. Yes, really.

- My print is completed! Where do I pick it up? All completed prints are labeled and placed on the shelf to the left of the 3D printer.
- Are any kinds of models off-limits? The Library will not print any weapons of any kind, including but not limited to knives, guns, spears, etc. We also reserve the right to reject a print request either due to content or logistics (print file is incompatible with printer size, nozzle or filament type, errors in print file, etc.). If your requested print is rejected for any reason, we will contact you.
- I’m still confused but want to print! Can you help me? Of course! Always feel welcome to ask Library staff at the circulation desk or email your question to alertnh@buckslib.org.
